We are currently recruiting for a Project Managers position in Jeddah. The role is working on the construction of the railway station for the new Haramain high speed rail project. For this position you would be required to have a BSc in civil engineering and 12 years of project management experience working on large construction or high rise projects. The position requires extensive knowledge of planning, international codes and standards, contract administration, and resource management. This role requires your proficiency in the English language to be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing to handle the internal and external communications, understanding of Arabic is an additional bonus. Job Summary: Project Manager (Plastic plant) - Saudi Arabia Job description Perform a technical, organizational and supervisory role on construction projects, including setting out roads, drains, sewers and structures involved in construction operations. Apply designs and plans to mark out the site. This may include civil, plant extension and other infrastructure projects. Typical work activities include: * setting out, leveling and surveying the site; * checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations; * ensuring all materials used and work performed are as per specifications; * overseeing the selection and requisition of materials and plant; * agreeing a price for materials, and making cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project; * managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client/architect; * liaising with any consultants, sub-contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project; * liaising with the local authority to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws; * day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force. * planning the work and efficiently organizing the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines; * overseeing quality control, health and safety matters on site; * preparing reports as required; * resolving any unexpected technical difficulties, and other problems that may arise.
