The projects include roads, infrastructure, cooling plants, parking structures, pumping stations, parks, open spaces, a reverse osmosis plant, and other infrastructure works.

Mechanical Design Engineer:
Parsons is seeking a mechanical designer to prepare moderate to complex 3D models and engineering drawings for mechanical equipment, structures, piping and supports, skid-mounted modular designs, materials handling applications, instruments and components. The successful candidate will produce designs based on standard arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, developed from equipment specifications, engineering notes, sketches and/or detailed drawings and design information according to established standards and procedures. In addition, you will compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations required for drawing preparations. SolidWorks CAD expertise and the ability to read and understand orthographic (2D) and/or isometric (3D) designs and supplier/ manufacturer drawings will be keys to your success.

Additional Requirements:
•Working on construction site, assists Resident Engineer with implementing mechanical engineering practices and related standards.
•Mechanical systems subject matter expert
•Reviews standards for materials and equipment to ensure they are in accordance with the specifications and LEED sustainability plan.
•Performs constructability, build ability, and maintainability reviews, especially as related to mechanical systems and energy performance requirements.
•Reviews shop drawing and construction-phase submittals when issues arise that require specific technical assistance.
•Participates in value engineering and scope and budget reconciliation when required or requested.
•Writes detailed reports related to mechanical engineering of projects and confers with project and program managers as requested.
•Assists in qualifying the feasibility of energy efficiency and capital improvement opportunities. Makes site trips to collect facility and utility data to develop and run energy screening models.
•Synchronizes mechanical engineering practices and standards throughout program.
