Job Purpose

To be responsible for safe and cost efficient functioning of the terminal



To execute safely unloading of bulk vessels. vehicles proper storage of the products drumming of chemicals and dispatches of the products as per the instructions.





Principal Accountabilities

Accountable for proper storage drumming receipt and dispatch operations maintaining all safety procedures and following local regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices.


Main Duties

i To ensure bulk vessels are received as per the procedures laid down and stocks tallied every week and physical gauging is done to ascertain the stocks on the first day of the month.

ii To ensure surveyors are appointed a week in advance prior to vessel loading or discharge.

iii To ensure proper segregation of materials and storage of the same.

iv To ensure efficient execution of all dispatches taking into consideration the quality of drums pallets packaging and labeling.

v To ensure that drums are filled up in the proper manner and material balance is made at the end of drumming.

vi To ensure correct weight of right material is filled in the drum with right labels.

vii To monitor stocks of all chemicals in the terminal.

viii To ensure SHE policies of the Company are followed in letter and spirit.

ix To ensure safety of all operating personnel.

x To ensure safety of all visitors to the terminal.

xi To ensure coordination with local authorities on the safety and legal aspects.

xii To ensure all equipments required for smooth operations are maintained properly and records maintained.

xiii To ensure stocks of inventory noninventory items are maintained and stocks counted monthly.

xiv To ensure proper conduct of periodic fire drill.

xv To ensure preparation of SOP's related to all functions and ensure their proper implementation.

xvi To ensure calibration of important equipment are carried out and their records and certificates maintained.

xvii To ensure proper traffic movement inside the terminal.

xviii To ensure company properties are maintained and protected in the right manner.

xix To suggest methods and means to optimize the terminal operations in order to reduce costs and enhance safety of the terminal as also development and growth of the terminal.

xx To ensure highest standard of house keeping in the terminal.

xxi To ensure proper coordination with other departments like PME Finance PME Sales and Life Chem. Sufficient stocks of drums and noninventory items like cap seals labels wooden pallets spares of machinery items hoses couplings etc. are maintained at all times.


Desired Candidate ProfileDiploma in chemicalmechanical engg. with about 4 to 5 year's experience in tank farm management Ship loadingoffloading operations control on day to day stock monitoring and reconciliation drum filling containers loading offloading operation.

Responsible for health safety environmentsecurity plant maintenance implementation of IMS ISO9001 ISO14001 AND OHSAS 18001Liaising with local authorities port customs health and safety and coordination with third party inspection company.

Your ability to develop coach and mentor your team will be a critical success factor. Therefore your success at coaching others and demonstrating your ability to manage through others and deal with the ups and downs of supervising staff will be a key area we will measure.  The ideal candidate for this position should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar position. EXPERIENCE 2 3 years QUALIFICATION Bachelor Degree KNOWLEDGE SKILLS o Analyzing Data or Information — Identifying the underlying principles reasons or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. o Good command of computer. o Good of English skills and Arabic is preferable .
