Responsible for the delivery of the highest possible standards of patient centered care during Respiratory Medicine treatment. Practices Respiratory Medicine, providing routine and emergency diagnostic and therapeutic care to all adult patients. Ensures compliance with internationally accepted standards of practice by Respiratory Medicine service and initiates and implements clinical audit programmes to monitor such care and standards. Is responsible for the effective management and development of the department staff, and the maintenance of the physical environment and resources. This position shares administrative responsibilities for the professional activities of the Respiratory Medicine Area
