• Implementation, support and inventory control of applications used
• Develops and implements the most efficient and cost-effective solutions
• Evaluates system specifications for business requirements
• Develops and prepares computer solutions
• Works closely with management to prioritise business goals and information needs
• Analyse user requirements in a data processing environment, automate tasks using custom or commercial software applications and streamline system work flow
• Creates schedules for system usage among end users, software developers and application specialists
• Reviews project specifications and provides strategy or a potential solution or "work-around" using software development tools
• Lead a programming team to develop applications and create and design software patches, routines or full-version programs
• Constantly tests applications for functionality and quality management assessments
Quality assurance (QA) testing ensures data is accurate after testing
• An information systems analyst may work as a technical writer, .
• Investigate and resolve application functionality related issues and provide first level support and troubleshooting systems
• Assist in troubleshooting software application issues.
• Write technical procedures and documentation for the applications including operations, user guide, etc.
• Performs all other ad hoc activities within IT scope as and when required by the Senior IT Manager
