This vacancy is for our client, Government oil & gas Company undertaking projects in oil & gas sector

Purpose:
To carryout preventive, breakdown and shutdown maintenance activities of rotating equipment as per standards operating procedures equipment, in a safe and effective manner to ensure continuous functioning of all rotating equipment in the plant.

The Rotating Equipment Technician reports to the Rotating Equipment Supervisor. Rotating Equipment maintenance strategy plays vital role in the overall shutdown plans. The job involves preparation and execution on five year and yearly plans, major overhauls, trouble shooting on all the Rotating Equipment Gas/Steam Turbines, Gas Compressors, Pumps, HT Motors overhaul etc. The complex consists of different types of gas Turbines such as frame five single and twin shafts, and Rolls Royce Avon packages. The high speed centrifugal and integrally geared gas, air Compressors and pumps includes but not limited to Dresser Rand, Nuovo Pignone, GE, Demag, Kawasaki, Elliot, Centac, KKK, Atlas Copco, Sulzer and York. The huge population of 3.3 KV and 11KV electrical motors maintenance and blowers are also included in the list. The job holder responsible for maintaining Rotating equipment located in the assigned areas of the Plant.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

• To troubleshoot, identify and isolate faulty components of plant rotating equipment at the assigned location and inform supervisor for prompt action.
• To carry out the shutdown maintenance repair and overhaul on the rotating equipment as per instructions and standard operating procedures, ensuring alignment to company- HSE standards.
• To participate in condition monitoring checks on machinery, and notifies any malfunctions or defects to the immediate supervisor.
• To observe operations to all equipment during routine activities for abnormalities, and report any detects to relevant Supervisor.
• To perform duties as a member of the Engineering Emergency & Fire Backup 24 hour roster team, to provide safety support services.
• To identify spare parts required for maintenance work, from manufacturers drawings and spare parts lists and inform superior to support timely replenishment of stocks
• To attend Toolbox meetings to establish scope of work activities such as safety requirements, permit to work, special tools and materials in order to ensure completion of tasks as per defined standards
• To follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures end instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
• To provide inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of practices taking into account 'best practice', international standards to improve efficiency effectiveness and changes in business environment.
• To comply with all company Health, Safety and Environment as well as Work Permit, policies and procedures to support the delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude
